AISIN SHIROKI COPRATION started operations in 1946 as Shiroki Kinzoku Kogyo Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shirokiya, which operated a department store in Nihombashi, Tokyo. The current company name has been used since 1988.

Shiroki develops, manufactures and sells a variety of automotive components. One category is functional interior parts such as window regulators and door locks. Shiroki is also a supplier of doorframes, moldings and other exterior parts.

Outside Japan, there are subsidiaries in North America (Shiroki North America, Shiroki-GA, Shiroki-GT), China (Guangzhou Shiroki), and Thailand (Shiroki Corp. (Thailand). Shiroki has been expanding its production and supply infrastructure in the rapidly growing markets of emerging countries. Shiroki is continuing to make investments to enlarge and upgrade its global R&D and manufacturing operations.
